What to expect on your first treatment
Before an initial treatment can take place, a consultation must be completed. Your current signs and symptoms will be noted and questions will be asked about your medical history, diet, digestive system, emotional state and sleep. In order to determine your body's energy, your pulse will be taken on both wrists, paying attention to the strength and quality of the pulse. The colour, coating and shape of your tongue helps to indicate the condition of your health.
The treatment itself
After considering all information, a treatment is prescribed specifically for you, aiming to treat the cause of the problem. Very fine needles (as fine as a hair on your head, not like injection needles) will be inserted into various points on the body. They will be left in place for 20 minutes. A feeling of tingling, heaviness or relaxation is often felt, which can be pleasant. You may need 2-8 treatments depending on the severity of your symptoms.
